Guelder roses
Are the berries of the Guelder rose edible? They are so pretty that I suspect they are not
which would be a pity because there are loads around here. Kath 'The Stories of George the Hamster' Translated by Lee H and Kathleen Smith ISBN - 978-0-9546989-3-5 Available from www.arlev.clara.net/george.htm and from both on line and High Street Bookshops |

In article , says... Guelder rose Viburnum opulus fruit is not very nasty in small doses but eat any quantity and the D&V can be bad enough to hospitalise you. It is certainly not good for you in any quantity so leave it for the wild life :~) Thank you for your replies. I agree. They look gorgeous so I guess I will have to leave them and enjoy their glowing beauty. It seems that even their use in 'healing' is not of the 'enjoyable' type grin Kath 'The Stories of George the Hamster' Translated by Lee H and Kathleen Smith ISBN - 978-0-9546989-3-5 Available from www.arlev.clara.net/george.htm and from both on line and High Street Bookshops |
