Default Chafer larvae

Am new to this site. Sure this subject has been covered previously, but can anyone update me? Just discovered them in several large areas in our lawn, had thought dry patches due to drought. Can we treat now or do we have to wait until next Spring? We're about 5 miles from Wisley! Diana
