Question Unidentified shrub

I wonder if anyone can help me to identify this shrub that is growing outside our window. A while sat with the Hessayon books has not proved to be any help

In the second photo little white flowers can (sort of) be made out. Blue tits adore this shrub, presumably because it's got so many little nooks to hide in. The neighbours hanging fatty balls doesn't hurt either, I'm sure.

Kind thanks!

Talking

Ornamental pear looks just right, thank you so much!

Did you create a user just to poke fun at my turn of phrase? I'm flattered!
