Repotting grapevine
Have just brought a small (one foot high) grapevine in a pot. The pot just
seems way too small. Is there any reason not to re-pot it straight away at this time of year? In pots, I normally use three quarters john innes no 3 and a quarter of so called general purpose compost. Would you say this is a reasonably good combination to use for a grapevine? Thanks. |

Ignore the top growth, vines can go yards from a tiny pot, check the roots if the pot is full move it on but if not wait until it is. -- Charlie, Gardening in Cornwall Holders of National Collections of Clematis viticella and Lapageria rosea cvs http://www.roselandhouse.co.uk |
