Default Moving a lavender - best time of the year?

Hi, I bought some 2 season (I think) old Lavender from a nursery earlier
this year. It's fantastic, but I need to move it.

Is there a good time of the year to move it?

Thanks a lot,

C.

I see nobody has replied, so, subject to correction by my betters,
here's my two penn'orth.

In theory, wait till winter when it's not growing. In practice, water
well the night before, then move it carefully and keep an eye on it,
and it shouldn't take much harm if you do it now, as it probably
hasn't sent much root out in the dry weather we've been having.
But if it dies, don't come round and smash my windows, please...

Take a couple of cuttings as insurance: this is a good time.
