Dave you and my wife are on the same wavelength. She has one in the 'Pride
of place' in out garden.

She has been gardening for over 50 years so to go along with yourself

Any that want to get into my top ten HAVE to have fragrance.
At yesterdays "Passionate about Plants" day at Pinner (speakers Val
Bourne, Fergus and Andy Sturgeon) I got a wonderful viola called
"Rebecca" the scent is amazing.

I'd opt fro Viburnum Juddii, or my Buddleia Alternifolia trained on a
shortish stem not bush.
