Well yes, probably - thanks Sacha ! The tree fascinates me for several
reasons.
It is always the last of the deciduous trees to loose its green colour in
autumn.
It was one of only two trees of any species that was recorded within a
twenty mile radius
of my place, The White House (Church Minshull ). The other being an ancient
oak in
Nether Alderley. It does not have a smooth grey bark as is described in ---

I cannot find either of these trees on the register currently so I was going
to re-submit "my"
tree ,hence the need for a species verification. I can see it clearly a few
hundred yards from
the bedroom window and still wonder why it previously was registered.
