Thank you so much! It's officially a 'notable garden', apparently. The
woman who designed it originally was a designer for Hermes. What
interests me is that it's not a very large space in which to achieve so
much and she wasn't what most of us would call 'a gardener'. What a
brilliant use of eye and the understanding of spatial relationships.
And that plunge pool is superb. I've only ever seen one, very like it,
in a garden in Crete and it's a style that works wonderfully because
(imo) it evokes the rills and canals of older gardens and isn't a big
intrusive blob in the corner of an otherwise tranquil space.
