No snow here again yet, but hard frosts at night.

Who was it that thought spring was in the offing?

That's the joy of living on the "Welsh Rivera", we don't get things like
that in our "Summer"

Was that it?! Blink and you miss it? It's terribly cold here still but
the temperature is luxurious 4C instead of 2C! It's clouded over a bit,
thank goodness. Yesterday, Ray and Matthew drove to a plant sale in
Hertfordshire and apparently, once they went down into Exeter, it was
all white, whereas here, we had no frost at all. We have customers
ordering quite tender stuff and we're ready to send but with the
proviso that if it gets colder suddenly, we'll delay despatch.

Just about an ice day up here, max of 0C. Not been terribly cold, even at
night, only -3C. Remnants of the larger (3') drifts from the snow last
Tuesday (I think) are still about. The tops are fairly white.

The ski tow will be running on Saturday at Yadd Moss, for experienced
skiers only as the tow track is very narrow having being rebuilt with aid
of wheelbarrow and shovel. B-)

Which means on things like cars, NOT on grass, because the vast
majority of dew and hoarfrost comes from the soil, not the air.

Well, this morning the ground was very hard, temp in
car going into town at 9.00am was 0°C. No sign of
white before then, but it's whitish now, 'cos it's
drizzling sleet/snow!

Some snow flakes have been sighted in Sheffield.

When daughter lived in Sheffield, they did not have
snowflakes, everyone there called then goose-feathers,
because of the size.
