I told Ray about this and he just about fell over laughing! "A fool
and his money......" springs to mind but I bet it happens! The Daily
Telegraph and Crocus are selling 5 'Erika' for £13.

I've often thought that if I dug up some Couch Grass and labelled it with
it's proper name Elymus repens I'd probably sell some.

It's surprising how tough they are. One month ago I transplanted some dozen
'wonderers'.

Bit late to do this, but they're still alive. Whether they fruit, remains to
be seen.

No. It's for the rare Etruscan pot.

I remember buying 10 or 12 raspberry canes for 2/3 in Woolworths but
that was long ago!
I also remember compliaining to a fish and chip man in Penzance that a
cod lot was 2/3 also and only 1/9 at home! That was also in the dim
and distant past!

As I knew them when I lived in Hastings, Rock Salmon and Robin Huss
were other names for Dogfish,
The best thing with chips.

Rock salmon is coaley

Rock eel is huss, usk, rock, spined dogfish or bireach

Gurnard is a totally different (bony) fish.

Not where I come from and it should be coley fish
Rock salmon, also called rock eel, flake, and huss, is a dish popular in
England, and can be one of many species of small shark, including the
spiny dogfish (Squalus acanthias)
