Has anyone has ever made a gate out of hedge? It should be possible to
have a long thin plantpot containing the hedge, which could then be hinged.

Or get rid of the hedge and replace it with identical gates all round
the property to confuse the buggers.

I've seen gardens where the gates look precisely like the fence. And gates where you undo the latch and the other side opens. And gates that open outwards onto the pavement. Probably all just bad design rather than entrance-thwarting though.

Q: Why can't you have a Jewish Morris dancer?
A: Because you have to be a complete prick to be a Morris dancer.

I greet you all on this morning of ceiling beam placement and no
gardening whatsoever.

Depends how big the container is. And an automatic waterer could be
set up if you've bothered to create such a complicate hinge in the
first place.

Someone who gets around a little and opens her/his eyes does need none
of both, neither the complication, nor the bridge, to notice, that high
standards do not necessarily come with much skill and devotion.
