Default Wisteria

I have a well established wisteris by my front door which flowers
well. It often sends up suckers from the base which I pull off.
I have just noticed a new one which has different leaves. They are
feathery and a paler colour than the usual ones. I have never seen
this before, though leaves are often forming on suckers by the time I
pull them off.
Any ideas why this is and what would happen if I leave it?

Thank you Chris Hoogg for your reply which I seem to have deleted.
My plant is 15 to 20 years old and has sent up suckers from the base
many times, which I have pulled off, but none with pale, feathery
leaves, though I sometimes pull off the long stems before the leaves
open. I cannot work out why this has happened now!
