Default Big Clematis Small Pot....OK to buy

Hi,

was at my local garden centre (red fox nursery) here on tyneside
buying a Jasminium for my wifes birthday and noticed some huge (by
garden centre standards) clematis of different types almost 7 feet
tall but in failry small pots possibly only a couple of litres in
volume but not much more.

They were priced at £9.99 and seemed a total bargain. The plants
looked healthy but if I get some is it not to late in the year to
replant them into my garden?

Chris
