Default Perennials from Seed

Having successfully grown various perennials from saved seed, when is the
best time to plant out?

I plant mine when they look big enough .......
This is not exactly a proper answer but there again it's not rocket
science is it '~)

It's probably better to get them established before winter takes
hold - when in doubt keep in their pots in the GH or similar until
next spring.

I agree that it depends upon how robust and fast growing they are.
Anything planted out now will need a lot of watering through the summer.
Autumn is a good time to plant out if your soil isn't too heavy.

You could name some of your plants and say roughly how big they are if
you want a more exact response.

Like the others I would say when they are big enough.
They need to be a well established plant in at least a 4 inch pot. Unless
you are going to really nurture them carefully and make sure that they don't
get lost amongst other stronger plants.
I would re pot then into 6 inch pots and keep them in a cold frame over the
winter, That is if they are from this years sowing.

I planted seeds of Hollyhocks, lupins, delphiniums earlier this year and the
ones that i planted out in April in a newly composted bed have done far
better than anything left in pots
I have an entire bed of beautiful Lupins and Delphniums in full flower
