Tomatoes - pinching out ?
'Jenny',
Pinching out ensures that you are in charge of production. This way trusses will set and develop much more quickly because you are concentrating their energies into production rather than having lots of branches, masses of foliage, inferior and unripened fruits, which is what you get if you let them grow wild.
