Try skips or local carpet shops/fitters.. Avoid man made fibres (eg
nylon etc) if possible as they do not break down in a desirable way.

I did pick some carpet pieces from Winnersh Cut Price carpets on Wokingham
Road. They are small pieces about one to two square yards but cleaner.
