Default Source for Mushroom Logs?

Hi

Does anyone have a good cheap source for mushrooms logs?
Those logs you put out in your garden that have spore for Shit-take
mushrooms or oyster mushrooms?

Most I've seen so far have been nearly £30?
TIA

Cheers

Jason

I got mine by asking the local council where they were lopping. Turned up
and scrounged some logs. Cost nothing.
Just as well, cos the Shitake plugs produced masses of mycelia (?) but so
far no mushrooms. The oysters produced zilch. Diddly squat.

Thanks Jim
I've waded through google links before and turned up with nothing, I was
just wondering if anyone else had bought these and had good experiences
with them and could recommend the place they got them!

Cheers

You may have the wrong type of log to give the best conditions for the
mushrooms.

I know you can buy the logs ready spawned from some places.
Anyone out there have any?

Cheers
