Bear with me on this one.............

Last Friday David Chick scaled one of the tower
cranes working on a development in St Katharine Docks and overlooking
Tower Bridge, and intends to stay up there for a week to highlight the
plight of fathers who are denied access to their children despite being
given access rights by the courts.

Here are some BBC stories:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/3232901.stm

....and here's the website for Fathers 4 Justice:

www.fathers-4-justice.org

Good luck to him and his cause.

From what I've seen on the news he's now being counter-productive to his cause. This
topic is just so complicated it's hard to do it justice on a gardening ng! Families
*do* indeed need fathers, but it doesn't have to be the biological father at all
costs, especially if the father has (or is likely to) in some way damage the child.
It all has to be "in the best interests of the child", it really does. And yet, so
often I see heartbroken adults taking action that is really in their own interests.
We have to be thr grown-ups because we *are* the grown-ups.
