A squirrel feeder with live 240 works fairly well.

Last year plagues of squirrels invaded my garden & ruined all my

beautiful
sunflowers,is there some sort of poison I can put down without

hurting
the
birds?

Build a cage round your sunflowers.

Mary

Buy a cage to catch the squirrels

If there are plagues (plural) he'll need an awful lot of cages. Easier

just
to have one ...

You make one.

Or get a man to make one for you. That's what I do to keep plagues of hens
off my vegetables.

If you don't want to state your 'gender' we have to make a guess. Man
embraces woman.

My two cats sorted out my squirrel situation. They keep killing the
adults as well as the young. The tails are left on the back doorstep.
My neighbour does not appreciate the service provided by my cats.
She gets quite hysterical every time a tail is left on her door step.
I dread the day when they get too old to do the business.

My advice is invest in two "farm bred and born" cats. Very independent
and dreadfully territorial but an efficient "hit team"

Arni.

Mole Valley Farmers at Bridgewater.

They do have branches in most parts of Somerset.

I have three and they have been a godsend.

But take careful aim - don't want to hit the beautiful sunflowers.
