nettle manure still good??
In article , shannie
writes I left about 40ltrs of nettle manure in plastic 2ltr milk cartons outside over winter. On opening it today with the usual dread I was pleasently surprised to find absolutely no niff at all from it, it's still the same colour and some of it still has 'bits' in. Im wondering now if the 'goodness' has gone with the smell or is it still good to use. Anyone any idea? Your nettle infusion will probably still be just as effective for providing plant nutrients, but it may have lost some of its insect repellent properties. This is a good time for taking young nettle leaves to begin a new batch. Urg nettle FAQ at: http://www.nugget.demon.co.uk/MetaFAQ/nettle.html -- Alan & Joan Gould - North Lincs. |
