Default Nematodes - Vine Weevil

Xref: kermit uk.rec.gardening:206042

Last year I had a problem with vine weevil on strawberries in grow bags.
I'm trying again this year with a new batch of strawberries and new grow
bags, and I'm thinking about using nematodes as a preventative measure
against the vine weevils.

I have two questions: (1) how long do nematodes live in the soil after
they've been watered in; (2) if there are no vine weevils in the soil when
the nematodes are watered in, will the nematodes then die because of lack of
food?

Thanks.
