hello
Hello to you one and all I'm a newbie to your newsgroup.
As we share the common interest of enjoying gardening I know I am in good company. As I am new fairly new to gardening could anyone tell me whether it is possible to grow Jasmine in a pot/container. Thankyou folks. Steph |

As I am new fairly new to gardening could anyone tell me whether it is possible to grow Jasmine in a pot/container. Thankyou folks. Steph I've got a healthy jasmine (white flowered) in a large pot. The pot is approx 16" diameter and 18" tall. It came in a smaller pot and I potted it up shortly after. Last winter it lost all its leaves and looked very sad. Around February I pruned it reasonably hard but not drastically. Spring brought its natural rejuvenation and last week the first of a number of glorious flowers came out - with the promise of more to come. I'm not sure how they should be treated - it was tied up all over the place when bought and I've freed some of the stems which it seemed to like. I give it occasional feeds (probably 2-3 weekly) and a weekly watering. It seems perfectly happy. Which is more than I can say for my toms :...(( -- regards andyw |
