Ray suggests that if you can grow it from seed and get it through winter
outside - with a bit of protection if necessary - it seems to give a better
colour.
I like the yellow but my husband has little time for it. Yellow is my
favourite colour, so I'm probably a bit biased.

Is the yellow another garden variety or is it the wild plant?

Ray thinks it's the wild one from southern Europe. To the best of his
knowledge - but no promises - it hasn't been hybridised. Sorry to sound
vague but like a lot of other things - he was given it!

I remember noticing yours, when I visited your nursery, that yours
were a deep blue where mine were anaemic!

blue_green, soft or vividly blue, or warmly purple. In early summer, Greek
fields of these common wildflowers are hazed with a pewtery slate blue, like a
shimmering reflection of the hot summer sky.

Ray is going to look tomorrow to see if he has some seed to send you. But
this won't be from our plants but spares from our supplier. If he has got
some, it will be interesting to see how they do with you.
