Default Brugmansias

*Some of my plants are over 8ft tall, I want to cut them back to be
able to fleece them for the winter now the nights are getting cold. Is it OK
to do this now?

Where are you? Or more importantly where are you keeping them?

My neighbour had one which got frosted in early November (NE Surrey).
I would have thought that unless you are posting from Tresco yours
would have been hit before now.
