Default Erysimum root disease?

Do Erysimum (Bowles Mauve) get club root or anything like that?
I had one blow over in a modest wind recently and the roots look all curled
up and odd.
It blew right out of the ground as if the roots had no grip left. The top
was perfectly normal and was even in flower.

They don't have much of a root anyway, much like other wallflowers -
but yes they're crucifers (related to cabbages etc and potentially
susceptible to the same pests and diseases. Find a picture of club
root somewhere, possibly through google - you'll see the roots aren't
just a bit deformed, they're very badly deformed.
