Default Compost bin

Thus spake K unto the assembled multitudes:
Our council is piloting a scheme where they collect garden rubbish, compost
it and sell it back to us! I think I'll carry on composting my own. It
might just be a tad cheaper :O))

My LA (Wealden District Council) collects compostable waste (including
cardboard) and after composting they say that it is "spread on fields as a
soil conditioner". I presume they mean farms. I wonder if farmers have to
pay for this.
