Default acer palmatum

I am moving to Spain soon and I would like to take some cuttings from
my mature acer palmatum purpureum to replant once I have relocated..
unfortunately, I'm not too sure about the best way to go about this.
Can anyone advise me on the best procedure to follow?

Thanks
