Default Lawn Fertilizer Spreader

if you were to buy a lawn fertiler spreader, whch one would you get?

W bought an Evergreen Easy Spreader and it is worse than useless
leaving lines of grass un fertilised :-(

We do not have acres of lawn to fertilise so do not need anything too
elaborate.

thank you

It is essential that the spreader has a rotating disc under the bucket to
evenly distribute fertiliser.
I bought a SCOTTS "Speedy Green" Lawn spreader form a garden centre in
Perth, Scotland.
I have a number of friends who bought the "cheap" type and found them
useless and now borrow mine!
Suggest you Goggle for a supplier

I found a site which is offering the spreader at a reduced price of £29.99
from £45
www.gonegardening.com and click garden then spreaders
Make sure it is the rotary type you want
Good luck

Sounds as though you are not lining up the arrows correctly with the
previous run's wheel marks. For a smallish lawn I wouldn't buy another
spreader, I would spend the money on the slow release granular
fertiliser which has spreader built in to the pack.

I use a plastic flowerpot. Cover up a few of the holes and then you scoop up
a load of fertiliser and hold it in front of you, shaking it with a
vigourous circular motion ( so the top of the pot stays relatively still and
the bottom does a cirlce. walk briskly doing this over the lawn in different
directions and you'll get a perfect covering.
