Smile How to sow the Proteas' seeds

I have some Protea and Banksia seeds.
I wanna know how thick should I cover them after sowing on the surface ?

Protea sew in a peaty soil mix at 6mm deep. Ideal daytime temp is 18 - 25 C.
Seeds must be fresh when sown. Will take 30 -90 days to germinate. Smoke
treatment may aid germination.
