This is a matter that everyone should take seriously. It almost claimed my mother's life 4 years ago. She has eczema on her feet and was gardening with potting mix in her thongs and got an infection straight into her blood stream.

She was 20 minutes from death when the local GP gave her 2 shots of adrenalin into the muscle around her heart. She then spent 2 weeks in hospital while the doctors decided whether or not to amputate her leg. Fortunately she kept it. She has now battled illness for the last 4 years.

We have a landscape Design and Construction business and we're VERY careful with potting mix as we have first hand experience of its dangers.

It's not just legionella.

Cheers,

Dr Pond
