Just a thought to get some discussion going on the above topic.

Hydroponics and Acers!! ???

Has anyone used any acer seedlings or young plants like this and been
successfull?

Would if be a good system for kick starting acer seedlings, and then
after a few month planting them?

What would the effect of growing them be - out of the cyclical uk
season? - would this prolong the leaf retention?

I wonder what the effects of temperature controll and lighting found
in a closed environment hydroponics system would have on acers?
