Thank you so much. I copied the whole list into MSWord. I will try to get it
down from 26 pages, so my cousin & I can peruse it on the bus ride. I wasn't
going to attend, since I am saving for the World Bonsai Convention, but my 83
year old cousin, my orchid buddy of over 35 years, needs somebody to push her
around in a wheelchair. I went with her a few years ago. They put on a
magnificent orchid display, but I was a little disappointed in the bonsai show. It was
a little amateurish. And Jim Doyle isn't going to be there this year. Neither
is Chase Rosade. I will probably be spending money at Meehan's, and browsing
for orchids & Lithops.

Iris:

I just checked with Chase, and he will be there as a non-selling exhibitor.
(That's why he's not on the vendor list.)

That's always been the way he does the show.

Enjoy!

Sorry you had a bad experience with the Philadelphia
Garden Show, Iris. I had the privilege of attending a few years
ago as a guest of Solita and Chase Rosade when we had a board
meeting in Philadelphia. I found the bonsai exhibits of Rosade
Bonsai Studio and the Pennsylvania Bonsai Society to be anything
but amateurish. To the contrary, both were creative and elegant.
Perhaps when I get my scanner working again I'll show a few
photos of that visit. (I think it was March 1999.)
And the show in general was awe inspiring. I've seen
nothing quite like it before or since. My hunch is that the
Chelsea show is the only thing which can compete at that scale.
I'd love to return sometime.
