Default [IBC] show

We're having our spring show this weekend. Got pretty good
advance press coverage, so had better crowds than usual on
the first day. It included a TV camera guy from our "second
station" who took some video snapshots, asked how old they
all were and how much they were worth, and left. Coverage
at 6 and 11 was as expected, but hey -- just spell our name
right. Maybe it'll being in more visitors this afternoon.
Usually we might as well have a one-day show because the
Sunday attendance is slim, but it's so much work to set up,
we can't bear to take it down on Saturday night. ;-)

For the first time in MY memory we have it indoors. What a
relief! No cooked bonsai! We're having it at the local
agricultural extension office auditorium.

And many, many thanks to the South Florida (Miami) club for
the loan of their bonsai education display boards. They're
very well done and are a BIG hit!!!!

A few pics on the gallery -- probably tomorrow.

Yes. Had another good crowd this afternoon. Got 3 new
members. One guy bought $150 in raffle tickets for a large
common boxwood styled/started by Ben Oki. Luckily, he won
it. ;-) It was in a nice large (24-inch wide, 6-7 inch
deep) pot, too.

Got pics of the boards and will post, along with an overall
shot of the show. We don't have that many really, really
show quality trees.
