Default black bottom tomatoes

sorry if you've seen this ? before, my hard drive went and when I got a new
one, all my settings were erased, including the newsgroups. My question is: my
miserable tomato crop has a lot of black bottoms. What is this? Is it from
excessive rain? I am in Philadelphia area.
