Default Good place to buy java fern?

I need to equip my new 110 gallon tank with some java fern. Anyone know a
good online store that delivers a nice quantity for the money? Most places
show you a nice picture, but in reality you get two or three stands with 1-2
leaves on each strand per bundle. Anyone has good recommendations?

do you have a local Aquarium Society around you. I believe a lot of people
are missing the boat when it comes to obtaining great quality fish and
plants as well as hardware items at great prices by joining your Aquarium
Society. Bags of Java fern were available at our last meeting at great
prices. If not, then how about a local LFS that sells potted plants from
Tropica. I have had good success with their plants.

That's a great recommendation! I should look into that! Thanks!

I second the idea to look for good JF from other folk, not from
stores.

It's interesting to me how every Petco/Petsmart/Petland guy that
"knows" about plants will tell you that Java Fern is a simple plant,
good for beginners. But try to find a good specimen and you will hit
a wall :-)

Java Fern is not a slow grower by any means. It doesn't grow as fast
as a stem plant but I can safely say that one can quadruple the plant
in about 2 months. Good light, CO2, somewhat high P (1 or 2), do not
move the fern and you should have success even if you start with a
beat up plant.
