Default Pruning Amazon Sword

It is safe to remove the leaves that are turning yello/brownish...getting
holes in them..etc. Just take a sharp pair of scissors and snip the leaf
off as close to the rosette(base) as you can. If you prune "good" leaves
off, be careful not to prune too many at once or you could kill your sword.

HI there,

I have three bunches of amazon swords in my tank. They appear to be
doing well - so well that the leaves have now reached the surface. As
my other plants are all stemmed varieties, I know how to prune them
back. With Amazons, as they are one single leaf, I am concerned that
if I remove the whole leaf, this will damage the plant.

Can someone tell me how to prune these back and when.

Many thanks,

Peter Nunn
