And if he worked for Al Capone? He'd be pretty old - Capone died in 1947. The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones; - Willy A hypothetical couched in conditional syntax, dear girl, nothing more, just a hypothetical. You ask too much. But perhaps a glimpse of potential aha. Poets try to convey in a similar manner. Literally so boring but fodder for clerks. http://www.truthout.org/are-we-all-n...inea-pigs57077 Food-processing giant Kraft Foods (United States) is one of these pioneers. In 2000, it financed a consortium of 15 universities and research laboratories, Nanotek, to design "smart" and personalized food, food that might contain hundreds of nanocapsules, filled with different flavors, nutrients and colors. A microwave oven could activate, according to the wave frequency, such and such a capsule, according to the consumer's desire - a kind of interactive food that may even transform itself if a person is allergic to an ingredient or release a dose of nutritional supplement if it detects deficiencies. Kraft Foods, the designer of this project, owns the chocolate brands Milka, Cte dOr, Toblerone, Suchard, and coffee brands Carte Noir, GrandMre, Jacques Vabre and Maxwell. Imagine tomorrow, your pink-colored banana-flavored coffee that delivers your daily dose of vitamin C ... Or chocolate that releases carrot aromas as it treats your hangover. Terrific, no? ---- No toes Billy, fastest shot in Northern California, that's me. I just thought I'd pass along a couple of more sites that a previous post provided. http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8326 The report, Out of the Laboratory and onto Our Plates: Nanotechnology in Food and Agriculture, found nanomaterials in popular products and packaging including Miller Light beer, Cadbury Chocolate packaging and ToddlerHealth, a nutritional drink powder for infants sold extensively at health food stores including WholeFoods. http://www.foe.org/healthy-people/na...no-agriculture Friends of the Earth's new report, "Out of the Laboratory and On To Our Plates" finds that untested nanotechnology is being used in more than 100 food products, food packaging and contact materials currently on the shelf, without warning or FDA testing. http://www.foe.org/search/node/nano Now it's a little more fair and balanced. -- "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100119/...ting_activists http://www.democracynow.org/2010/1/19/headlines |

We have the regular old bluejays, northern flickers (they do sound exotic) red bellied peckerwoods, hairy and downy peckerwoods, white breasted and red breasted nuthatchs and brown creepers... all of the above devour suet cakes like crazy. (so do the #%$&&@ starlings) Four and 20 black birds baked in a pie...comes to mind. Size 8 shot. Charlie, how do you water birds when it is 0F outside? I use a horse water bucket heater. On at 35 and cheap as it doesn't carry the pond stigma price gouge. My pond open all this winter. I bought a 150 watt submersible heater and have it in a black two gallon rubbermaid pan sitting on top of the birdbath. Shuts off when water temp reaches thirty-five. ahhhh....sounds cozy....I miss the "old days" with the woodstoves and a cat curled on yer lap...still have a nap kitty though. My gas fireplace is cool real cool as the thermocouple failed 2 weeks ago. My Back up. Got service sort of on the way with old man winter still about but my roof is almost clear. Gutters dripping and homemade chicken soup in the work which I may add a hint of egg drop soup idea. Ok I'm Back only because of the zealots. One must be careful and bake well done on account of starlings carrying E. coli (and other pathogens), from their dabbling in cowshit. What herbs would you recommend with starling? Starlings seem to like bread crumbs. Not their fault they were introduced in the US. |
