Any fruit trees attracts wasps, yellow jackets, etc.
Any over ripe fruit will draw them and even fruit just ripening on the
trees sometimes.
Keep ground picked up every day when they start to drop or after wind.
Hopefully you can get them first.
If the bears get there first let them have first choice.

The seeds in ripe apples will be a dark brown. Pick one, check seeds and
then follow David H-S advice.
