Half of the *customer* reviews are NEGATIVE. Customer reviews are the
one's that count IMHO. So nearly half say neg, half pos with 7 in the
middle.

IMHO

Opinion being the operative word. All the reviews indicate is that half
(almost half/less than half/possibly close to half) of the respondents (not
half of the customers) have not succeeded and have chosen to cast the blame on
the merchant instead of their lack of propagation skills. Everyone has their
crop failures, most rational people understand that.

maybe because when I said that many seed companies dont give a shit what they sell
home gardeners cause home gardeners are always going to blame themselves, while if
they sell seeds that dont germinate to farmers or greenhouses they might have a suit
on their hands .... I was flamed. I read this in one of my mothers organic gardening
magazines, dont know which one, but she pointed it out to me cause she was going
nuts. she been gardening for 60 years and routinely does germination tests on them.

unless the email address of every person who voted is given, it doesnt mean a damn
thing. like how many people voted 20 or 200 times?
I never saw this site, I dont buy from park because of their reputation, so I wouldnt
vote for em, would I. Ingrid

well I am wrong. It isnt just the home gardener that is being screwed.
Germination is really simple. the company does germination tests and doesnt sell
seed with less than 90% germination, and then they over package to make up for the
10% loss. that way people pay for 1000 seeds that germinate and get 1,100 to make
sure!!
now there are categories of seeds that are very very difficult, that is a different
story. If they can only get 50% of those seeds to germinate, then they sell 100
seeds at the rate for 50 seeds. And state it up front!!
Just imagine if we bought cars and only 50% of them worked. Or only 50% of our
clothes were properly stitched together and fell off on the first wearing. Or only
50% of the milk wasnt sour. There is no excuse for companies selling crap seeds.
that being said. places DO sell last years seeds, and they should be sued for doing
that .. by the seed companies if not the consumers. Ingrid

Last year we used over 4,000,000 seed with an average cost of $18 per
thousand and ended with 92% germination. $5,760 never germinated. I'm not
blaming the seed company, I took the risk.
