Default Which Zone?

Depending on what section of CT you are in, your zone can range from 6B to
5B...

According to the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map the southern coastline is
zone 6B. Large sections of central and north-western CT are zone 6A. The
Eastern and Western corners of the state are zone 5B. If you would like to
take a look at the map yourself to find out exactly what zone your in check

Most of CT is zone 6 but there is an area north of Hartford that is 5.
