After they flower and fruit next year, there should easily be millions upon
millions of seeds to which you can help yourself!!!!

If you are saying that they are essentially a giant weed, I agree with you!

You might try posting this request on rec.woodworking . They look at this
species differently. Also, check out the website at
http://www.paulownia.org/index.html .

In a 1995 issue of Fine Woodworking Magazine (issue 95, page 4), Peter
Beckjord who had started something called the National Paulownia Center
offered a packet of seeds and growing instructions for $1 and as SASE to:

National Paulownia Center
4303 Kenny Street
Beltsville, MD 20705

He gave is phone number as (301) 937-4635

I don't consider mine a weed, despite that she has given me a daughter

tree off her roots down my slope, thrown a seedling over to the other side
of my property where it's now mature enough to flower, and sent shoots up
into the BBQ pit/fountain garden. If I spot another seedling, instead of
pulling it up, I'll see if I can lift it for you. I'll let you know if I'm
successful. e-mail me and I'll put you in my address book, and when I spot
a seedling of Pawlonia (or Chinese Princess tree or FOXGLOVE TREE) I'll let
you know and you can then send me yer address and I'll let you know what the
postage will be. only until then, ok?

Jackie: A word of warning about Paulownia - it is very messy! Pretty
flowers and all, but they do make a mess when they fall, and the coarse
leaves are equally messy. Fast-growing trees are usually prone to
breakage too, so if you do succumb to the paulownia, plant it where the
branches won't fall on your buildings or cars! Wendy
