Default Scotch pine in central plains Colorado (USDA zone 5)

Hi,
Does anybody know how fast is the growth of Scotch Pines in Colorado? Are
there any faster growing evergreens?
This is on the plains at about 5000 ft altitude. Are there any
special planting methods, soil amendments, fertilization that would speed up
growth?

Thanks
