Default Any chemical for lawn to discourage pets from shitting on it?

Hello people,
Everytime i mow my yard, i find poop from some neighbor's dog. I don't
know which neighbor since alot of neighbors have pets(dogs and cats).
I've written a letter to the HOA about it, but they only can send
letters to residents about this. First off, the crap is still in plain
view, so i'm thinking it is a dog that did it since cats bury their
crap. Is there a chemical i can treat on my grass that will scare off
pets? Maybe something toxic that won't kill the grass also? Thanks.

Reminds me of a barber's story years ago where he had seen the offending dog
but neighbor denied it was his.
Barber put Exlax out on his own lawn.
Next day, neighbor was bringing out and hosing off rugs.
Barber asked him why and he said, "Damn dog had diarrhea."
Barber said, "Well, if you let your dog run loose, you don't know what he
might eat."

I love this idea, but I'm evil that way. I wonder what flavor ExLax works
best.

The problem is that i might see diarrhea in my yard. Can you get Exlax
at Walmart? Hope it doesn't kill grass.

Aw, why punish the dog? I say watch for the dog & owner -- dog walkers
usually are out on a pretty regular schedule -- and then bag the stuff and
return to owner with, "Hey, I think you forgot something on my lawn."
Maybe once he/she knows you know the source .... well, one can hope!

That's silly! The dog is doing the deed. If a teenager kills someone, do you
throw a dart at the phone book, and punish the person whose phone number you
hit?

Silly? The owner is either letting the dog run loose -- illegal in most
places -- or walking the dog and not picking up after it. What does the dog
know but don't crap in the house -- maybe.
