Default What are these perennials please???

Could someone please tell me what these were? I planted them from
seeds indoors and then moved them out in the spring, at the house
we used to own. They turned into wonderful perennials for years
after that, but I forget what they were.

asters on the right, mums on the left. I think the asters on the right are
New York asters, rather than New England asters.
