Merits of our 30-Litre Food-Grade barrels:

* These barrels are clean inside and are thus ready for use. They are as displayed in the photograph (if there has been one included with this posting - some classified adverts do not allow free images).

* They can be used for collecting waste oil, outdoor pursuits (angling, keeping possessions dry when kayaking, constructing a barge, etc.), camping, caravanning, horticulture (they make very cheap plant pots, and being elongated, plants will grow with thicker bark, and they can be used as waterbutts when fitted with taps), livestock-/bird-/horse-feeding etc. In fact, any purpose which involves creating 30 litres of clearly-defined space is relevant here. The barrels' being food-grade is essential to their diversity of applications.

* The screw-on lid makes pouring in, securing, and pouring out any contents supremely easy.

* The handles facilitate carriage.

* The barrels are stackable - recommended up to 3 high and no more.

Little-Known Fact: * 30-litre barrels are superior to any other size. Their full capacity is quickly discernible. The 30-litre barrels weigh approximately 1.6 Kg each. The entire container will only come to about 32 Kg when full. Even if using a sack truck (which would be necessary when collecting full barrels of anything above 30-litres in capacity, for example a full 50-litre barrel), one would still need to lift the full container into your vehicle at the end of the trek back to the vehicle and when unloading the vehicle. And so, 30-litre barrels are superior to 50-litre barrels. They are the nexus of portability against the backdrop of volume. Furthermore, one could simply give away a 30-litre barrel along with its contents when selling the latter. This would save time.

* To conclude this brief list extolling the virtues of 30-litre plastic food-grade barrels, we can say that they have universal use, and specifically, they are great for small-medium enterprises, but no matter what size the enterprise, a 30-litre barrel will always find a niche in anything from industry to outdoor pursuits to ecology.

HOW TO PURCHASE:

Contact No.: (07963) 632 484 - Phone beforehand to find out current stock levels.
Buyers may either collect from our premises in Birmingham (no additional charges, of course), or pay for delivery.

If Buyer collects:

If collecting, Buyer must pay by cash, as this circumvents the considerable transaction fees for electronic payments and ensures no bouncing cheques etc. Receipt given. We can sometimes place the barrels onto a pallet if the Buyer collects. In such cases, there would be 36 barrels to a pallet.

If Buyer pays for delivery:

PAYMENT:

If using a delivery service, Buyer may only pay by cheque or PayPal.

The address to send PayPal payments to is:

Please note: You do not have to be subscribed to the PayPal service to make a payment - you may use any major payment method (including credit card) via PayPal, without actually being a customer. Whether paying by cheque or Paypal, the Buyer will have to wait for the payment to clear - allow 5 working days for a cheque, PayPal payments are usually instant.

DETAILS TO INCLUDE WITH EVERY DELIVERY ORDER (e.g. in the "Message" section when sending a PayPal payment, or on a note posted with a cheque):

* Describe what you are buying (e.g. 20 x 30-litre open-top plastic barrels)

* Quantity purchased

* Cost of the items themselves (e.g. 20 x £3.25 = £65 total item cost)

* Cost of delivery for the tariff used (e.g. 20 barrels @ 1.6 kg each = 32 kg. With 48-Hour Parcelforce delivery, first 10 kg = £14.99, thereafter 22 kg @ £1 / kg = £22, total delivery cost = £36.99)

* Delivery address. Buyer must give a PayPal-Verified address with their PayPal payment, or if sending an unverified address, email the address to us at:
. Notification via a private communication on a forum will not be an accepted method for transmitting a delivery address.

* Your contact number (can be a mobile, this is for the courier - you do after all want the items delivered at the first pass!)

DELIVERY:

Once all these details have been received and the correct payment total has cleared, we will arrange for delivery. There is usually a lapse of 1 working day before the courier collects a consignment. Thereafter, the time taken in transit depends upon the tariff selected (e.g. Parcelforce 48-Hour).

We partially subsidise all delivery costs when payment is made electronically (e.g. via PayPal), as a portion of any payment made via PayPal is taken by PayPal itself in fees. We do not pass those fees on to our customers - we only charge the delivery fee levied by the courier.

The service currently used is Parcelforce Commercial Delivery:-

Price format: "48-Hour Delivery / Next Day Delivery"

First 10 kg - £14.99 / £18.99
Thereafter - £1 per Kilo thereafter / £1.20 per Kilo thereafter

If not a whole number, the mass of a consignment is rounded up to the next whole number

Example of Delivery Fees (we supply in any available quantity, please phone in advance to check stock levels):

1 Barrel: £14.99 / £18.99
2 Barrels: £14.99 / £18.99
3 Barrels: £14.99 / £18.99

Please note that for quantities between 1-3 barrels, the delivery costs are not very practical. It would be cheaper to send via Royal Mail, but we do not make journeys to the Post Office for such small orders. Our courier collects from us.

4 Barrels: £14.99 / £18.99
5 Barrels: £14.99 / £18.99
10 Barrels: £20.99 / £26.19
20 Barrels: £36.99 / £45.39
30 Barrels: £52.99 / £64.59
40 Barrels: £68.99 / £83.79

60 Barrels: £100.99 / £122.19
70 Barrels: £116.99 / £141.39
80 Barrels: £132.99 / £160.59
90 Barrels: £148.99 / £179.79
100 Barrels: £164.99 / £198.99
150 Barrels: £244.99 / £294.99
200 Barrels: £324.99 / £390.99

Please note: Sometimes a COD courier can be arranged. He can deliver a maximum of 36 barrels per journey, at a cost of £0.60 / mile distance on a postcode-to-postcode route plan rendered by Google Maps. He is capable of same-day delivery, but any delivery depends upon his availability. Enquire at
if you think this delivery method might be more desirable.

Hi, l've got quite a lot of overstock barrels. I am based in Birmingham.

They are HDPE, with screw lids, the 30-litre ones mostly have inner seals on the lids, the 50-litre ones rarely do. They are all ex-food substances. Some are spotless on the inside, the rest have varying degrees of food-traces.

My prices for the overstock:

-- 200-300 x 30-litre open top with screw lids @ £2 each

-- 400-1,000 x 50-litre open top with screw lids @ £2.50 each

Collection only, unless delivery is absolutely necessary (l will have to arrange a large vehicle for transport). However, the lucky person who collects can have as many 5-litre buckets (with lids) as l have in stock (presently about 300) for free.

Feel free to phone me on (07963) 632 484

P.s. I can sell the items as a private auction on eBay for any interested parties, but you would have to pay the eBay fees.
