I have a spathiphyllum sonya houseplant. Its leaves are brown at the tips.
What would the reason be?

Dry air & not enough water.

In nature, Spathiphyllum are found growing along the banks of streams and
often grow partially submerged at certain times of the year.

They do best growing in moist soil and with a high humidity. That's
something difficult to do indoors because the optimum conditions for growing
the plants well are very uncomfortable to humans.

Grow the plants with the pot in a saucer, water frequently, check to be sure
the soil is moist. Place the plant, pot and saucer in a wide tray with
gravel and keep the gravel moist to provide a high humidity. Also, mist the
leaves as often as you can.

Spaths do like to be kept moist, but they don't care for salty water.
Tip burn is often caused by salt accumulation in the potting soil. If
your tap water is high in salts, you might have to switch to
deionized, distilled, reverse osmosis, or rainwater. Always water
until water runs freely from the drain holes--leach out any salts that
might be building up.
