Default seed-- help please

can anybody help to identify the seed shown in the picture of the link.
I found it in China at Laoshan mountins in Shandong province.
Should be a tree .

Looks to be a fruit rather than a seed.
Specifically a pod, and therefore a species of Leguminosae ...

The photo sure looks like a Honey Locust, Gleditsia spp. There are two
species native to China. Perhaps it is Zao Jiao, G. sinensis, or even
G. japonica.
