Default What a treat! Baby water iris! (And Dallas question)

I planted some seeds in kitty little and pond water 5 months ago. I
had a sprout early on, but it got too tall and died. I keep throwing
water in the bowl and today i noticed a healthy 2 inch sprout! 3 or 4
leaves. I hope/think i can keep it alive for another month or so. I
assume if we wll hit the 20's periodically and the water temp is in
the 40's that i have to wait, but it's HARD!! I ca't believe and the
growing that has gone on through te winter in that pond. The water
hyacinths are a loss, but i won't stir the fish's habitat yet removing
them (They covered everything else on a windy day so i tied them to a
bolt and sunk them) I am going to garden web soon to look for plants
people have excess of. Oh yeah, I also have a caladium that sprouted
in a pot from a bulb, i think. (I poke seeds and stuff in pots and
forget what they were) My cannas and taro have made it through the
winter just fine. I am so pumped! I can't wait for warmer weather!

Someone in Dallas, do i have to wait until mid April to put out
plants? Will you let me know when you put yours out if you are housing
any?
