I mostly grow bearded irises and daylilies, but enjoy anything garden
related. If you have websites or web photo albums for your garden, I'd
love for you to invite me to browse. Thanks, Cathy

I am kind of partial to Iris myself. Currently working at propagating
enough to go all around my one pond and take the place of the cat
tails. I played heck and finally won eradicating my cat tails and now
the Iris is slowly surounding the pond. Mainly Game Cocks and BLue
Louisana types, but I do have a fair amount of yellow as well.

I did some hybridizing with my bearded irises for the first time this
year and had AWESOME results. 83 seed pods! Now I've got my fingers
crossed that something wonderful will come out of my efforts.

Photos of my irises and daylilies are on my website if you would like
to see them.

I planted a mix of white, blue and yellow irires in my bog garden around
4 years ago....I have found that only the yellow have really
flourished...from talking to people I understand that the yellows will
have a tendency to take over.....as for my daylilies I've found they do
better in drier soil but ymmv....when I really had a good bog garden
going in conjunction with a pond a few years ago I loved the number of
varities of plants that would thrive there that enjoyed the boggy
conditions....marsh marigolds were one that did the best and a joy to
behold...and those delicate little bell flowers which I can't remember
the name of right now - grown from bulbs....

You have absolutely beautiful Irises. I have some of the same ones you
have. I started the collection about 20 years ago. We pick them up here
and there and even from the local Wal*Mart store. Iris thrive here in
Middle TN. :-)

Good morning or good evening depending upon your location. I want to ask you the most important question of your life. Your joy or sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer.
