Ok guys and gals, my wife wants me to put a pond in my front yard but my
bassets can't keep the cats away in the front yard becasue there is no
fence to
keep the hounds in!

Stock the pond with dogfish?

The last thing a cat wants to do is get even a drop of water anywhere
on his body let alone their paws. You need to understand cats a bit
and you'll know you don't need to worry here. Raccoons - yes.

Two of our three cats PLAY in water. They aren't interested in fish, but
water fascinates them.
